We are actively seeking a Transmission Planning Engineer for a role near Tucson, Arizona.
Requires a Bachelorâ??s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET college and 3+ years in the Electric Power Industry with emphasis in transmission planning. Requires an understanding and ability to work with advanced power systems analysis software, such as General Electric Positive Sequence Load Flow (PSLF) or PSS/E (PSSE). Must have the ability to conduct and evaluate transmission contingency analysis and power flow studies (i.e. steady-state thermal and voltage, and stability studies), as necessary to plan for the orderly long-range expansion of the transmission system. Requires an understanding of WECC/NERC (or other Reliability Councils) and FERC policies, standards, criteria and procedures and policies related to electric power systems.
