JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective The primary role of the VP Human Resources is to develop and implement the companyâ??s Human Resources strategy in support of overall business objectives. Specifically includes planning, developing, implementing, and administering the companyâ??s Benefits, Compensation, Employee Relations, Training, Recruiting, Payroll, and Safety functions. (This includes all divisions of the company). The VP of Human Resources is also responsible for establishing Human Resources policies and practices and ensuring that they are enforced consistently and within the confines of applicable federal and state employment laws. Essential Functions Â· Creates and implements strategic Compensation, Benefits, Employee Relations, Compliance, Training, Recruiting, Payroll and Safety Programs in support of companyâ??s business objectives. Â· Sets the direction of Human Resources Department, determine appropriate programs and processes; direct HR team to develop and implement positive and effective HR programs Â· Maintains a healthy employee relations environment by proactively maintaining positive employee relations; prove an outlet to address employee relations issues; work with both management and associates to facilitate fair and consistent resolutions. Â· Works to continuously improve delivery of HR functions Â· Works to ensure that all programs meet all federal and state objectives for compliance purposes Â· Coaches and counsels management on policies, procedures, and practices to ensure consistent application, and to mitigate potential legal exposure to the company. Â· Ensures that associates and customers are provided a safe environment that meets all applicable state and federal safety standards.
